I am still reeling off the Dexter season finale (which I watched last night):
and not only was I physically shaking at the end of it, I cannot escape it even if I try.
Reasons:
- Of course I had a dream about it. Luckily, nothing too scary…actually, I dreamt I was writing about it for a case analysis (like the ones I’ve been working on for the past week)…clearly these case write-ups have consumed my life.
- In aforementioned life-consuming case write-ups, there are a lot of references to the “Trilogy” (The Steelworker’s Trilogy). What was the main bad guy’s (John Lithgow) nickname? TRINITY.
- I am also reading a case about “Arthur Murray.” What was the actual name of the main bad guy? ARTHUR MITCHELL!!!

at first i was all, GEEZE LOUISE TIME MAGAZINE, WAY TO BE A BUNCH OF DEBBIE DOWNERS.
then i looked through the pictures and was all, GEEZE LOUISE 2000s, WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BE LIKE THAT.

I have said this before, but I SERIOUSLY have new respect for law students (and lawyers too)

This shit is HARD. There are so many cases. There are SO many footnotes. Why in the world would I know the case grievant/union vs. huge corporation? PLUS, I swear to God some of this stuff doesn’t even make sense because there are so many words I don’t know. I was a literature minor and read tons of old shit and STILL I don’t know what these folks are saying.
That’s my rant. And Pepper Sprout, you are awesome for making it up to your third year. I’d quit after a semester (which I’m about ready to do with my ONE cross-listed law class).
Oh yes and good luck on the law class - what subject is it? Perhaps I can help.
It’s a commercial and employment arbitration class. I’m coming up on the final stretch, but I feel like this entire paper I wrote is gibberish…I’m hoping he’ll go easy on grading because it was a new course and super disorganized…Thanks for the offer though! The coffee shop is having little kid, mom and senior citizen hour:4
- 4 children under the age of ten (all drinking hot chocolate, natch)
- 3 senior citizens
- 3 moms
- and of course, 11 students (including yours truly) studying for finals.
